FRIDAY 3RD - SUNDAY 5TH FEBRUARY 2012

This is a course, aimed at beginners and students with some experience with watercolour, that will teach you how to paint trees and skies in a landscape setting and will include features such as rivers, lakes and seascapes. Using photographic references supplied by the tutor you will be shown how to paint different types of trees, how to create mood in a painting with different skies and how to achieve a variety of watery effects such as reflections in water, moving water, and seascapes.
The course will include many watercolour painting techniques such as different brush techniques, colour mixing, wet in wet and lifting out. Each technique will be demonstrated step by step by the tutor who will give constructive and friendly advice to each student

Learn how to sketch landscapes using the watercolour pencil both dry and wet and in conjunction with other media such as graphite pencil and waterproof sketching pens.

MONDAY 13TH - WEDNESDAY 15TH FEBRUARY 2012

This is a course, aimed at beginners, that will introduce you to painting landscapes with watercolour. Using photographs supplied by the tutor, you will learn skills and techniques such as painting trees and skies, colour mixing and sketching. The tutor will give detailed and exciting demonstrations of all the topics covered and will give group and individual guidance to the class. By the end of the course you will have produced a number of exercises and paintings using the skills and techniques learnt during the course.

SATURDAY 18TH FEBRUARY 2012

This is a one day workshop that will introduce you to painting watercolour picutres that include the effects of different types of water such as rivers, lakes and seas. Topics will include flat water, moving water, reflections and waves. The workshop is aimed at beginners and students with some knowledge of the medium.

Cost is £35 per person

FRIDAY 2ND MARCH 2012

This is a single day workshop that will introduce you to painting effective trees in watercolour paint. Using photographs and handouts supplied by the tutor you will be shown how to paint distant trees, different varieties of trees, how to use the brush and mixing greens.
